MEGHAN MARKLE WEARS BESPOKE GIVENCHY TO TROOPING THE COLOUR

Thank you for being patient as I took a bit of a social media break during my vacay the last week and a half! It was really nice to unplug. In case you missed it, I shared a number of new posts on the blog while I was away – I scheduled them in advance so you’d have some Meghan content to keep you company during my holiday!

While I was abroad, Meghan stepped out for her first official royal engagement after baby Archie was born last month. While still on maternity leave, Meghan couldn’t miss out on Trooping the Colour! Markle attended this event last year for the first time – it is a ceremony performed by the regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies. It has also marked the official birthday of the British sovereign since 1748! The event includes a big parade, followed by a gun salute and Royal Air Force flypast over Buckingham Palace. Click here to see and shop the look she wore last year!

Meghan opted for a demure custom navy and white Givenchy dress, topped with a coordinated short sleeved coat for the parade and balcony viewing. She accessorized with a turquoise quilted bag, also Givenchy, and a gorgeous pair of emerald diamond earrings. Navy is one of Meghan’s favorite neutrals, so while I’m not surprised she chose the color, I am surprised she didn’t pick a more summery hue for this event. Her outfit choice definitely gives off the vibe that she wanted to keep things low key, under the radar, and not draw a ton of attention to herself.

Her exact coat and dress were custom, therefore unavailable to shop – I did round up a number of beautiful navy + white numbers for you to peruse and shop to recreate the look for summer!
