MEGHAN MARKLE WEARS BLACK PREEN DRESS TO STEP IT UP FOR GENDER EQUALITY CELEBRATION

Throwing it way, way back today! In March 2015, Meghan Markle attended the Step It Up For Gender Equality event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the fourth World Conference On Women in Beijing. Meghan has always been an advocate for women’s rights, but this event marked a major milestone for her in the fight for gender equality when she gave an inspiring speech.

Meghan wore a slightly off-shoulder black midi dress by the design duo, Preen, with black ankle strap sandals and a dark blue evening clutch. The portrait neckline on this dress is a favorite for the Duchess of Sussex, as well as Kate Middleton! She opted for simple diamond and gold earrings. When preparing for this event, Meghan told her stylist that she wanted her outfit to convey strength and intelligence. Mission accomplished!

The exact dress and clutch are no longer available, but we linked so many similar pieces in this classic style for you to recreate her beautiful ensemble! Some are a little pricey, but we also found a few that are budget friendly. Shop below and watch Meghan’s powerful speech on gender equality!
