As we approach the next Trooping the Colour on Saturday, June 8th, let’s take a look back to Meghan’s first time participating in this annual celebration! For those of you who don’t know, Trooping the Colour is a ceremony performed by regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies in celebration of the official birthday of the British Sovereign. This ceremony has been performed for over 260 years, and every year the Royal Family takes part in the parade, as well as watching on from the balcony at Buckingham Palace.
For last year’s festivities, Meghan chose a slightly off-shoulder pale pink dress by Carolina Herrera and matching Philip Treacy “Slice” hat. She looked absolutely stunning, but there was some talk that she had broken protocol with her choice of neckline. Whether that’s true or not, I thought she looked divine!
Since it is rumored this will be the Duchess of Sussex’s first appearance/engagement following the birth of her and Prince Harry’s son, Archie Harrison, I can’t wait to see what she will choose to wear to this year’s Trooping the Colour… in the meantime though, shop similar off-shoulder pink dresses below!
