The South Africa royal tour has begun! For their first engagement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Nyanga, the township also known as the “murder capital” of South Africa. According to recent statistics, one in 206 people is killed each year. With security being tight, Meghan and Harry left Archie behind with a nanny for this particular outing!
Meghan wore this black and white Dalitso printed wrap dress by ethically made and sourced, MAYAMIKO! She paired this great everyday style with her favorite black espadrilles by Castaner. I own a pair myself and can attest to their comfort! Naturally, the dress is already sold out… sad! I did manage to roundup a bunch of similar styles for you to recreate her look.
In addition to meeting kids and teens in the township, Meghan gave a powerful speech and even took part in some traditional dancing! In her brief speech, Meghan stated “While I’m here with my husband as a member of the royal family, I want you to know from me I am here with you as a mother, as a wife, as a woman, as a woman of colour and as your sister.”
